Artist Research - John Davies

Another example of large scenes being captured through the use of a wide lens, a similar scene is captured by renowned landscape photographer John Davies, whose composition centres the imposing cooling towers at Agecroft Power Station that dwarf the miniature figures on the nearby football pitch. Again, by finding a higher vantage point he is able to provide a broader perspective when looking down upon the subject matter. "I try to look for the best view to show features in context, and aim to get the maximum detail from my photographs".
